*best is obviously subjective, in reality this is just a collection of stats based on recent tryscoring performance...

Columns

Column definitions are as follows:

Team: Team with a First/Last Tryscorer advantage based on their recent performance
Opponent: This week’s Opponent
Type: Whether an advantage is seen in the team’s First or Last Try performance
Diff: A weighted score based on the team’s First or Last Try performance over the preceding 14 games compared to their opponents’
Pos. Type: Type of Position on Field, Outside Strike = RW, RC, LC or LW, Pivot = FB, SO, SH, HK, Forward Strike = PR, LSR, RSR, LF
Top Pos: Best performing position (in Pos. Type) based on 1+ Try performance over preceding 14 games
Pos. Score: A weighted score based on 1+ Try performance for the nominated position over the preceding 14 games
Recent Player: A check on which player has played in the position the most over the preceding 5 games
Likely Opp: If a Winger, Centre or Back-Rower, the player who has played in the opponent’s opposing position over the preceding 5 games
F/LTS L14: How many times has the Recent Player scored the First or Last Try in the team’s last 14 games

As time allows I’ll attempt to tweak the scoring criteria further, pulling in other elements such as experience of likely opponent, team/opponent strength ratings etc.
